KSCE(Korean Society of Civil Engineers) asked the Secretariat of ICOLD for the materials necessary to apply for membership

KSCE asked the Korea Water Resources Development Corporation(present Korea Water Resources Corporation) to take the roll of promoting the entrance to the ICOLD by using its organization as the local committee preceded to become a member of ICOLD

Founding meeting for the establishment of KNCOLD was held

Inaugural Meeting was held to adopt the Constitution and elect executives

January 04, 1972

Korean Ministry of Construction (presently the Ministry of Construction and Transportation) officially sanctioned the establishment of KNCOLD

January 31, 1972

Registration as a legal entity

April 18, 1972

KNCOLD was admitted as a 67th member of ICOLD at the 40th Executive Committee Meeting held in Canberra, Australia
