Juam multipurpose dam was constructed to meet
the water demand in South-eastern region of our
country. It is composed of main dam and regulation
dam which are connected by a 11.4 km long diversion
tunnel with the tunnel diameter of 10 meters.
The 58 meters high, 330 meters long main dam reservoir
has the storage capacity of 457 million ton and
flood control capacity of 60 million ton.
The 99.9 meters high, 562.6 meters long regulation
dam reservoir has the storage capacity of 250
million ton and flood control capacity of 20 millon
ton.
The Juam dam begans its construction in September
1984 and completed in May 1991. It is supposed
to supply 489 million ton of water and 51.3 million
kWh of electrical energy annually
